Yes, we’re still in business!

Let me just take a moment to be honest.  I’m not the greatest at keeping up with technology. Oh, I can make a post to Facebook in a heartbeat, but remembering to upload some photos on my website? yikes! It’s been a few minutes since that’s happened (um…maybe since January!). I will blame part of that on a poorly functioning computer, but overall….it’s just that I don’t keep up like I should!

But that doesn’t mean that we’re not baking in these parts! In fact, we’ve added all sorts of new items to our menu! One new little gem are our pumpkin brownies.  Boy oh boy!  The pumpkin brownie part is delicious enough (I mean, they’re a perfectly fudgy consistency.  These are not cake-like at all!), but it’s the gingersnap crust that sends these brownies over the edge! I’m not kidding, my mouth just watered a little thinking back to them…

Thick and chewy and topped with cream cheese icing, just like Red velvet anything should be!

One of my new favorites are these Red Velvet cookies. I grew up a Yankee in the North…Red Velvet is something we know about, but not a staple in our cake arsenal. So, the love of all things red velvet is new to me…but I’m always willing to expand my horizons!  I thought, “if everyone loves red velvet cake, what if we made that flavor into a cookie?”  Because, honestly, this baker will choose a cookie over a slice of cake any day! Surely there must be more people like me out there!  I don’t think these cookies disappoint (and of course, they are topped with cream cheese icing.  I mean, is there any other option for red velvet??)

Hearty oats give these earthy muffins their unique texture, and the chocolate chips? Well, that just makes good sense.

We’ve added new muffin and bread flavors, in a effort to appeal to a broader audience (okay- so maybe 3 options of lemon flavored muffins is a lot of lemon.  I have a problem.  I’m addicted to lemony goodness!). We have Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Muffins and Gingerbread and White Chocolate Muffins.  Both are so delicious!  Sadly, my photo for the gingerbread muffins didn’t turn out well.  Which means I’ll have to make the sacrifice and make another batch for a new photo!

As for the breads- All kinds of new changes!  There’s Peanut Butter Bread (which tastes amazing smothered in a layer of jam!), Mint Chocolate Chip Bread (don’t be fooled…this should be a dessert.  But you’re all adults, so when you choose to eat it is up to you!). The lemon coconut bread and lemon poppyseed breads now come covered in a layer of streusel.  Why I hadn’t done that to begin with, I have no idea!  And we’ve added the option of ordering our most popular, Lemon Blueberry Muffins, as a loaf of bread now.

There are two new Pound Cake options. Coconut and Chocolate. Dense like pound cake should be, and completely delicious!

And we can’t forget the cookie cakes.  My favorite cookie cakes lately have been the ones ordered without a message and just covered in either icing, or glaze, or sprinkles, or all of the above.  I just think they’re so much fun (and also, there’s that deliciousness in every bite!).

So, we’re still baking here…what are you in the mood to try??!
