Pumpkin Spice Overload?

It seems like everything this fall is pumpkin spice flavored.  Pumpkin spice lattes, Oreos & M&Ms. Pancakes, soup, even BBQ sauce!  Isn’t enough enough already!?!

NO WAY! Pumpkin is such a beautiful flavor.  Make is savory.  Make it sweet (actually, just make it sweet for me, thanks!)…it’s lovely in almost any form in this baker’s eyes!  I’ve been on a pumpkin kick this October and have been enjoying every minute of it!

Maybe it’s because we live in El Paso, and yesterday it was over 85 degrees outside.  Our leaves don’t fall from our trees until mid-December, so I need to use every tool in the arsenal to feel like autumn is actually here.  And nothing helps welcome that autumn feeling like corn mazes, jack-o-lantern carving, and putting pumpkin into everything!

It won’t be too long before Christmas is on its way, and everything will be about gingerbread and peppermint.  So, let’s enjoy this beautiful thing called pumpkin for a while longer!  We’d sure love to make a few of these treats for you to enjoy this autumn season!
